Weekly Photo Challenge: Masterpiece

The first time I saw that glowing apple, I fell in love. I thought it was an exceptional beauty, definitely an epitome of excellence for its kind. I have never met any gadget that took my breath away the way macbook did. I knew I just have to have one, and lucky enough I got it as birthday present from my big sister.

And like what a quote I stumble upon at college said “if you think black is beautiful, you haven’t seen white”.

Throwback Thursday: The Little Sister That Was Annoying

This week’s throwback is a fun shoot I did with my sisters 3 years ago. Just some vain photos and a good laugh πŸ™‚

β€œHaving a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there.”

β€œIs solace anywhere more comforting than that in the arms of a sister.”

β€œMy first job is big sister and I take that very seriously.”

β€œI was the little sister that was annoying.”

β€œMy sister keeps me grounded.”

What unusual activities have you done with your siblings?

Princess Diaries: The Heart of A Woman

Princess Diaries

HEADS-UP: Read at your own risk. I am a Christian and my personal biases may be evident in this article.

Three years ago I told myself that my Facebook wall will be a “wall of inspiration”. There will be no rants, complains or quips. This is also how I intend my blog to be. I would like people to read my posts and feel better about their life. I want to share to the world the moments in my life that are contagiously blessed.

Today I accidentally took an extra dose of sadness and so I though I’d write a short list about something every MAN must know about us, WOMEN.

I learned these information from an all-female weekend retreat I attended last year from the community I belong to.

First on the list, to be romanced. Yes we desire to be pursued and if that isn’t obvious then I don’t know what is. Second, to play an irreplaceable role in a great adventure. We definitely would want a true and perfect relationship, I mean who doesn’t. And lastly, to unveil beauty. Don’t you guys just find us mysterious and interesting? We couldn’t just reveal it without you showing interest.

Fortunate for us, the great man above created man this way:

A heart to love. You guys should then pursue and love us πŸ™‚ . Man is also designed to have a heart for adventure. So therefore have an adventurous relationship with us that would allow us to play an irreplaceable role. Lastly, a heart for battle. You were designed to willingly sacrifice for the sake of your beloved.

Now, aren’t we supposed to click? πŸ˜‰

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fresh

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fresh

For a sleep maniac like me, waking up is definitely the freshest moment in a day. It is when I feel the most energized (physically) and my mind is worry free. It may take me several hours to ponder on great ideas over the night but the most brilliant ones sprung first thing when I wake up. In most days before I take a bath I make it a point to check on my fave blogs and when I saw this week’s challenge, without thinking twice I set the camera’s timer and took this photo πŸ™‚

Do you think it’s fresh too?

Know Your Coffee: Espresso, Mocha and Cappuccino

Know Your Coffee: Espresso, Mocha and Cappuccino

Bo’s Coffee is the closest I have to Starbucks at home.

I was probably the happiest person the day I found out that Bo’s will be brewing for the Butuanons. I had only visited Bo’s once in Greenhills when I was still staying in San Juan City so I was not familiar with their flavors. To my surprise they have my fave (Sbux christmas flavor) toffee nut. And what’s even better is that they have it the whole year round. In an instant I convinced my boyfriend, family and close friends to drop by the coffee shop more often not only to have my dose of toffee nut but in order for me to avail of their coffee book too ^_^

And speaking of coffee book, here is your coffee 101 lesson for the day courtesy of Bo’s:

“Coffee actually grows on trees–first as coffee flowers, and then as coffee cherries. Although pruned short in cultivation, a coffee tree can grow up to 30 feet high. It can live as long as 20-30 years, preferring a rich soil, mild temperatures, and frequent rain.

What makes it even more special is that not everyone can grow coffee. As an evergreen tropical shrub, it only grows in countries that belong to the Coffee Belt.”

According to Wikipedia the bean belt is the area between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn and these areas are where the 20 largest coffee producers are.

Now if you are wondering what is the difference between an espresso from a caffee americano, a mocha from a cappuccino, refer to the visual espresso field guide of Bo’s above.
