Eye Bag Miracle for Dummies (Photoshop)

We all have that one almost- perfect portrait that we can no longer recapture but left only to caption what the obvious mishap is. In my case it usually involves dark circles under my eyes. And so for dummies like me, here is a 1-2-3 to basic eye bag enhancement using Photoshop.

Screen shot 2014-08-19 at 11.45.10 PM

Left: Original Photo Right: Enhanced Photo

Step 1: Use the “Patch Tool” found in the same selection as the Healing Brush Tool.

Screen shot 2014-08-19 at 11.46.37 PM

Step 2: Draw a circle around the dark crease of the eye bag. Make this as thin as possible for more natural output.

Step 3: Position your mouse inside the circle and gently drag it downwards just a few centimeters from the edge of its original location.

Although only a case-by-case basis, when you drag the circle too far from its original point, you end up having a distinct color difference. Which would entail using other editing tools and would no longer make a tutorial for dummies like me 😀

Step 4: Finally release your mouse and hit Control + D or Commad + D (Mac) to deselect the area. And there you go 😀

Pardon my narcissistic side.

While there are superb moments we failed to capture on cam, there are also instances where we brought our cameras yet failed to experience moments.

Rediscovering Duka Bay

This was supposed to be my last blog for 2013 but the internet connection was too slow so I finished uploading photos at exactly 12:16AM here in the Philippines, that means this is technically my first post for 2014.

I couldn’t think of anything more precious than the company and love of a family. Every moment spent with them is surely something I value and I am very thankful for.

My 2013

Life is full of surprises. My 2013 has been a wonderful year and what better way to wrap it up than embracing new blessings in my life. Just this November 6, 2013, I got officially hired as a Pharmacist for an international beauty, health and lifestyle retailer. It was a career move that I did not plan but I am very much happy for. Although it meant lesser time with my family as I had to go on duty 6 times in a week, I look at the fulfillment I am getting from my new workplace. That is why all the more that I am making up for those times that I missed family dinners etc.  My sister also got married last December 6, the grand opening day of the branch I am employed at. I did not make it to her wedding but even with islands apart I made sure they felt my support. So for today I am sharing outfit post as the whole family rediscovers Duka Bay on my one-day off.

And I couldn’t get by the last leg of my 2013 if not with the all out support and unconditional love of my B.

A Rusty Sundate

A Rusty SundateLAST HURRAH

It was our last quality time together as a family last Sunday before my sister heads back to Cebu. I convinced them all to watch the UAAP Cheerdance Competition while having our afternoon snack. We first dropped by Margie’s Bakeshop (coffee shop) and Pan de Pugon to buy some foodies 🙂

DEFINITELY GOT SERVED!

Weekend, if ever I have one, is my time to detox and pamper myself. I work for a community drugstore so I get to serve customers the whole week. The drugstore I work for fronts a hospital so most of our customers are irritable watchers deprived of sleep, emotionally drained and financial challenged. It takes so much patience and a bag of charisma to satisfy (if not please) these group of individuals. But this Sunday (Sept 15) I get to play the “customer” role, only that I am not irritable at all. As the manager of the drugstore at the same time I know for sure how toxic it is attending to every customer’s complaints, most specially if it is about service rendered.

Going Public

TEAL, THEY TAKE MY HEART AWAY

Here is part two of my teal-cyan-mint-celadon fondness. This is another skirt I borrowed from my sister who recently visited us here in Butuan City for a week. We couldn’t decide which camera to use for this #ootd fun shoot so while she was setting the proper exposure, shutter speed and aperture (I hope I got those right) from her Canon dslr, I was going over her shots from my dad’s Samsung NX10.

GOING PUBLIC

Two months ago I started to own a little space in the world wide web through WordPress and as I was asking myself today why, I could only think of one answer. 2013 is by far the busiest year in my career life and up until June I felt like I was disconnected with the rest of the world. I was so into my main job and sideline that I seemed to have taken for granted my “me time”. Blogging then  is my outlet, my RR, my super “me time”.

INSPIRATIONS

I was following popular fashion icons in the Philippines via Instagram and one day I just thought of visiting their blog sites and there…I fell in love. I aspire to be a fashion blogger too. Way to go before I could connect to the world and influence people like they do but hey, making 41 people follow you for your random posts is a good start right? So here we go with the rest of the photos. Continue at your own risks 😀

Teal the World

SaturdateTeal, mint green, celadon and cyan blue, these are my kind of colors for this year. These shades are perfect the whole year round here in the Philippines.

SAM_6825 And since my sister is home for the week, not only did I have her take some of my #ootd I also arbored this vibrant sundress.SAM_6839Arbor” is a slang filipino term for asking something you like on the spot from someone else even if the owner is reluctant.2SAM_6833SAM_6844She did my messy-ish hair too 😛
